Job shadowing involves spending one day during the summer at a local business or professional organization. The purpose of job shadowing is to provide educators an opportunity to better understand how area businesses operate and what kinds of entry-level skills they require of recent graduates. Job shadowing participants should make contact with an organization they wish to visit and then contact the Tech Prep office. If we can help you in this regard, we will. There may be grant funds available to provide a stipend for participation. A brief report of the job shadowing experience would be required by the Tech Prep office.
