Fast Track Technical Training - Central Virginia Community College


Fast Track Technical Training (FTT)

CVCC's Fast Track Technical Training (FTT) program provides intensive, short—term (3—15 week) training opportunities in a variety of technical fields. Each specific program is designed to respond to Region 2000 businesses' immediate needs for entry level, skilled applicants and provide students with the means to secure well paying, career positions in local industry.

Financial Assistance Options
Fast-Track Technical Training classes are non-credit courses and are not eligible for traditional Financial Aid through the college. Listed below are several options that may be available to you. Please contact the individual agencies and groups for additional information.

On Ramp Grant The On Ramp Grant Program, supported by Dislocated Worker Training-- National Emergency Grant funds, provides free tuition, fees, books, and supplies to students enrolled in a degree program (such as a diploma, certificate, or associate degree) that leads to employment in an in-demand career field. WIA Grant Dislocated, unemployed, and underemployed workers may be eligible for services such as skill assessment, labor market information, job search and job placement assistance. Additional services may be available for eligible dislocated workers who need additional help in getting jobs. The sequence of services is individualized and may include more intensive assessments, counseling, and prevocational and vocational training.
