Important Dates

Fall 2012 Semester (8/20/12 - 1/11/13)

 

Applications and Enrollment Forms
Due August 27th.

Add/Drop Period – August 20th through September 7th
Classes dropped during this period do not become a part of the student’s permanent record. Initial class roster reports and class roster add/drop forms are distributed at the end of this period. Discrepancies must be reported by September 14th.

Change to Audit – August 20th through September 7th
Students may change to audit during the same period they may drop, without academic penalty. Students changing to audit must notify the instructor before the end of the drop period.

Withdrawal Period – September 8th through November 1st
A grade of “W” will be assigned for any class dropped during this period. Class roster reports are distributed at the end of this period for instructors to assign “W” grades. Withdrawals must be reported by November 7th.

Mitigating Circumstances
A grade of “F” will be assigned for any class dropped after November 1st unless mitigating circumstances exist. A written statement must be submitted to Mr. William Sandidge, Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs and Student Services, in order for the student to receive a “W”.

Grade Submissions – Due January 11th
Grade rosters are due no later than January 11th, and should be hand-delivered or mailed to the Office of Admissions and Records at CVCC. The grade roster must be initialed by the instructor.

  • Grades of “W” and “X” may not be assigned on the grade roster report.
  • In the event an Incomplete (“I”) grade is assigned, a Form for Incomplete Grade must be submitted. Please contact the Office of Admissions and Records for more information.

Transcripts
Transcripts are available one week after all grades have been received and entered. Students may request a transcript on-line or from the Office of Admissions and Records.



Spring 2013 Semester (1/12/13 to 5/30/13)

Change to Audit – January 12th through January 30th
Students may change to audit during the same period they may drop, without academic penalty. Students changing to audit must notify the instructor before the end of the drop period.

A grade of “W” will be assigned for any class dropped during this period. Class roster reports are distributed at the end of this period for instructors to assign “W” grades. Withdrawals must be reported by April 3rd.
