Research, Assessment & Planning	104-01-00	Assess the institutional effectiveness of instruction, student services, financial and administrative services, and institutional research.	104-01-01	Using the Program Assessment and Self-Study Guide (pp. 58-62) from the Substantive Change Prospectus submitted to SACS on March 5, 2008 as a framework, collaborate with Academic Deans and Program Managers to develop an evaluation plan, identify data collection methods, and data collection tools by April 30, 2010			To establish a system of using data and information for continuous quality improvement to improve student outcomes.	Copies of each programs evaluation plan, to include data collection methods, evaluation tools, and data collection dates.
			104-01-02	Collaborate with Vice-Presidents, Deans, and Program Managers from students support services and finance and administration to develop an evaluation plan, identify data collection methods, and data collection tools by June 20, 2010.			To establish a system of using data and information for continuous quality improvement to improve student services and financial and administrative outcomes.	Copies of each programs evaluation plan, to include data collection methods, evaluation tools, and data collection dates.
			104-01-03	Collaborate with off-site center directors from Bedford, Amherst, Appomattox, and Altavista to assess student outcomes in CVCC Early College Program, using the methodology set forth in pp 64-65 of the Substantive Change Prospectus submitted to SACS on March 5, 2008.			To support student outcomes and the academic quality of the Early College Program.	Early College BIO 101 and BIO 102 class assessments will be completed and reported by 6-31-09.
			104-01-04	Collaborate with the Director of Distance Education to evaluate student outcomes for online classes.			To establish a system of using data and information for continuous quality improvement to improve student outcomes in courses taught online.	Course grades, student satisfaction, withdrawal rates, and other student outcomes of online students compared to traditional class students.
			104-01-05	Conduct and report the annual student and graduate surveys and report findings to college planning units by 4/30/10 and 6/60/10 respectively.			Utilize results to continuous quality improvement of college planning units	Completion of the New Student and the Graduate reports.
	104-02-00	Provide support and direction for campus planning.	104-02-01	Schedule and conduct annual planning meetings for the College.			The College needs to engage in annual planning in order to decide what to do in the subsequent year and later.	Planning requests and meetings will be completed by 3-31-09.
			104-02-02	Produce the FY 2009 college planning report and report on continuous improvement for FY 2008.			The written plan will be the basis for the plan's implementation for FY 2009.	The written FY 2009 plan and focus on continuous improvement for FY 2008 will be printed and distributed by 6-31-09.
	104-03-00	Maintain continuous compliance with SACS accreditation and reporting requirements.	104-03-01	Maintain continuous compliance with SACS accreditation and reporting requirements pertaining to substantive change in CVCC online and offsite course and program offerings as outlined in Monitoring Report to sent to SACS March 15, 2009.			CVCC needs to ensure compliance with SACS guidelines while ensuring the standards and integrity of online and offsite courses and programs.	Documentation of weekly meetings with  VP of Academic Affairs and Student Services and biannual written reports.
			104-03-02	Maintain awareness of SACS accreditation standards and any changes by attending the annual conference in Atlanta in December 2009.	$1,500	M&O	To ensure compliance with SACS standards and ready to reaccreditation in 2014.	Information learned and utilized at CVCC from the SACS conference
