AIDS Quilt on Display
AIDS quilt in memory of Larry Sullivan
Lynchburg, VA /Media Release/12/13/11 CVCC honored AIDS Day by sponsoring an AIDS Quilt with the help of Elena Killian, CVCC Spanish Professor. The quilt was on display in the Student Center with the theme for this year “Getting to Zero.”
The World Health Organization has created AIDS Awareness Day to be observed on December 1 of each year. The day is dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection.
