Advanced Incident Management Training to be held at CVCC Campus

Lynchburg, VA /Media Release/11/17/11 - On Friday, 11/18, and Saturday, 11/19, professionals from local, state, and nonprofit agencies responsible for emergency preparedness and response will attend advanced level incident management training at the CVCC campus.

The training is designed for individuals who serve as leaders in managing large-scale disasters and special events. It is part of a series of classes under the National Incident Management System required by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to ensure that public resources are used effectively and efficiently.

CVCC continues to work toward ensuring that the campus and off-site centers are prepared to respond to any type of hazard by coordinating with the Virginia Department of Emergency Management for training and support.

Approximately thirty attendees are expected.
