Ninth annual BRPAS photography exhibition opens at Merritt Hall

VA /Media Release/7/08/11 -The Blue Ridge
Photographic Arts Society announces that its annual Summer Exposure
exhibition will open at CVCCs Merritt Hall July 8 with an opening reception on
Friday, July 15th from 5:30-8 pm. The reception is free and open to the
public. The show will continue until the end of August.
All of the work exhibited has been created by the members of the Blue Ridge
Photographic Society and is as varied as the club's membership. These
local photographers explore both digital and traditional photographic
techniques.
Subject matter includes abstracts, colorful digital manipulation, serene summer
scenes, and introspective black and white studies that suggest mystery and
mood. The Blue Ridge Photographic Arts Society (BRPAS) is a strong, vibrant
arts organization whose mission is to advance photographic skills and
understanding and to promote photography in the Central Virginia area. Merritt
Hall Gallery at Central Virginia Community College is an important local venue
that encourages area artists to exhibit while introducing the CVCC community to
current art from the local area and beyond. For further information about the
