CVCC Culinary Arts Building Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to be held July 19th
Lynchburg, VA /Media Release/7/06/11 A ribbon cutting ceremony for Central Virginia Community Colleges new Culinary Arts Building will be held at 3:00 p.m. on July 19. Senator Steve Newman and Mr. Skip Lamb, chair of the CVCC Local Advisory Board, will speak at the ceremony. Dr. John Capps, president of CVCC, will offer greetings and remarks.
A General Assembly appropriation, the Virginia Tobacco Indemnification Commission, and Region 2000 localities funded the new $2.4 million dollar 4,000 square foot state-of-the art facility.
The Culinary Arts program has also received full accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and schools.
Following the ribbon cutting ceremonies, there will be a tour of the new facility and refreshments will be provided. The public is invited.
