2009 CVCC Student Art Show Winners Announced
Lynchburg, VA /Media Release/5/04/09 Central Virginia Community Colleges Communication and Design department held an awards ceremony on April 17th to announce the winners of their annual Student Art Show, sponsored by the CVCC Cultural and International Events Committee. The judges for the exhibition were John Shuptrine, an award-winning photographer; John Morgan, Professor of Studio Art at Sweet Briar College; May Carter, Pottery Studio Director at the Academy of Fine Arts; and Kay McFalls, Art Director for Sisson Creative Marketing and Design.
Winners were chosen in each of five categories: Drawing, Graphic Design, Painting, Photography, and Three-Dimensional Work. The winners are listed by name, title of work,
and medium.
