CVCC Hires New Dean of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning

 

Lynchburg, VA /Media Release/3/24/09 –Dr. Joey Fronheiser has joined Central Virginia Community College as Dean of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning. Fronheiser comes to the Lynchburg campus from Oklahoma, where he was the Director of Evaluations at the University of Oklahoma. He had previously served as the Director of Research for the Community Council of Central Oklahoma and had also been a professor at Appalachian State University.

 

Originally from Florida, Fronheiser says that he is very proud of his early years at Okaloosa-Walton Community College, a learning experience that set him on his path to higher education and greater achievements. He later received a bachelor’s degree from the University of West Florida, a master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma, and a Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Science from Oklahoma State University.

 

From his personal experience, Fronheiser brings a full understanding of the value of community colleges to his position at CVCC and is excited to be able to contribute, in a meaningful way, to the College and its mission.

 

He, his wife Heather, and their three children are pleased to be in Central Virginia and are looking forward to making it their home and enjoying the many opportunities in

the area, including the access to hiking, boating, and other outdoor activities the

family loves.
