CVCC Faculty Art Show Opens
Lynchburg, VA /Media Release/ -- The Communication Design Faculty of Central Virginia Community College are hosting an art exhibition of their recent works in the Bedford Learning Resources Center through December 10. The exhibition includes a mixed media of paintings (acrylic, oil, and water, and crayon), sculptures, ceramics, and drawings. The artists include John Black, Linda Black, Donna Hobbs, John Lofaso, Jane Moden, Jim Patterson, Lovie Peters, Karren Sanborn, Kenneth Weinfurtner, and Mona Williams.
It has been seven years since the CVCC faculty pooled their talents to create an art exhibit. John Lofaso, Assistant Professor of Communication Design, was behind reviving the gallery that had been held annually prior to the retirement of CVCC Professor Roger Elliott.
CVCC will open the exhibit with a reception on Wednesday, October 17, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Bedford Learning Resources Center on the Colleges main campus. The reception is open, free admission, to the general public.
