AREVA NP Inc., U.VA., and CVCC to Announce Agreement

WHAT: AREVA NP Inc., the University of Virginia and Central Virginia Community College are working together to enhance engineering education opportunities for students in the Lynchburg area. Through two new programs being instituted in August of 2007 and August of 2009, students will be able to earn an associate degree in engineering at CVCC and obtain a bachelors degree from U.Va.s School of Engineering and Applied Science without leaving Lynchburg.
Program details will be announced at a press conference on Monday, March 12, at 9:30 a.m. in CVCCs Merritt Hall Room 5124. The media event will focus on an agreement reached between the two schools and local industry affecting the future of education in Central Virginia and business and industry in Virginias Region 2000.

WHO: Representatives from AREVA NP Inc., the University of Virginia, and Central Virginia Community College will be in attendance to answer questions following the announcement.
