CVCC Fills Two Advisory Board Seats

Jimison and Tweedy Named to Vacant Posts

  

Lynchburg, Va. /Media Release/ -- Dr. Clyde T. Clarke, Chairman, introduced two new members to the CVCC Local Advisory Board at the quarterly meeting held on July 19.  Ms. Elizabeth “Lou” Tweedy joins the Board representing Campbell County and Mr. Don Jimison takes a seat as an appointee of Appomattox County.  They will serve four-year terms with an option to renew effective July 1.

 

Tweedy is an alumna of CVCC from which she received an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Radiologic Technology.  She is registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in both radiography and MRI.  Tweedy is an MRI Technician at Lynchburg General Hospital where she has been employed for 14 years in various capacities including Diagnostic Technologist, C.T. Technologist, Special Procedure Technologist, and Coordinator of Diagnostic Radiology.  Previously, she served on the CVCC Advisory Committee for Radiology.  Tweedy resides in Rustburg.

 

Jimison received his bachelor’s degree from Marshall College and his master’s degree from the University of Michigan.  He is a retired educator having worked as a public school teacher, principal, and coach.  Jimison also served as Director of Continuing Education at Southside Community College and Director of the Holiday Lake 4-H Education Center.  More recently, the Appomattox resident managed golf courses in both Florida and Texas.
