CVCC Names Dr. Jeffrey Laub as new Dean

  

Lynchburg, Va. /Media Release/ -- Dr. Jeffrey W. Laub has been hired as Dean of Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Technologies at CVCC.  He received his Ph.D. in Physics from Lehigh University of Bethlehem, PA, an M.S. in Physics at St. Bonaventure University (NY), and his B.S. in Physics and Computer Science at Moravian College in Bethlehem.

 

Laub brings more than 20 years of experience to his new post.  Most recently he served as dean and associate professor for the School of Mathematics, Science, and Health Sciences at Rogers State University in Claremore, OK.  Prior to that, he chaired the Division of Natural Science and Math at Macon State College (GA) after holding a similar position with Alice Lloyd College in Pippa Passes, Ky.  Laub is credited with more than a dozen publications and presentations and has been honored with numerous awards for his teaching methods. 

 

Laub had been instated to his new position at CVCC on June 1, 2006.
