Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Instructor
Position: Full-time teaching position. Rank and salary are dependent upon academic qualifications and experience.
Qualifications: Position requires a minimum of an Associate’s degree in a related field and 2 years related occupational experience. Bachelor’s degree and prior teaching experience preferred. VA Emergency Medical Technician Instructor, ITLS Instructor, ACLS Instructor, PALS Instructor, and BLS Instructor certifications preferred.
Duties: Teach 15 credit hours in EMS classes (day, evening, and / or weekends) and maintain 10 hours of office time each week. Perform other duties such as committee assignments and student advising.
The College: Located in Lynchburg, Virginia, in view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Central Virginia Community College is a comprehensive two-year institution of higher education. Approximately 4,000 students are enrolled in occupation / technical programs and university-parallel transfer programs. The college is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the Associate degree.
