CVCC Honors Scholarship - Application Form (PDF)
One renewable scholarship up to 15-credit hours per semester is offered to select graduates from each high school within CVCC's service area. Based primarily on academic merit. Applicants must maintain a 3.5 grade point average while receiving the scholarship award. See your high school guidance counselor if interested. Deadline for applications is March 1.

Get Started Scholarship -
Applicants must be first-time students taking at least 12-credit hours. Awards will be for half of the tuition needed, and only for the first semester.
Access to Opportunity Scholarship -
Applicants must be first-time students with part-time schedules. The scholarship covers tuition only, and only for the first semester.
Alumni Association Scholarship -
Applicants must be full-time students and have a parent who is a CVCC Alumnus. Recipients must maintain a 2.5 grade point average while receiving the scholarship award. Recipients are encouraged to apply for second year funding. Finalists will be required to interview with the Alumni Association Selection Committee.
Alvin W. Singleton Scholarship -
Although not required, preference will be given to applicants enrolled full-time and individuals who were employed by the Intermet Foundry or their children. Recipients must maintain a 2.5 grade point average while receiving the scholarship.
Appomattox County High School Class of 1962 Scholarship -
Applicants must be students who graduated from Appomattox County High School.
Belvac Scholarship -
Applicants must be enrolled in one of the following curriculum: Machine Tool, Engineering, Engineering Tech, Machine Shop and CNC.
Boys and Girls Club Scholarship -
Applicants must have been active for two years in the Lynchburg Boys and Girls Club and agree to contribute time to the Boys and Girls Club at the rate of four hours per semester credit hour.
BWXT Scholarship -
Applicants must be residents of Region 2000 and enrolled in an area of study that supports the business and technical interests of BWXT.
Chip Anderson Memorial Scholarship -
Applicants must be residents of Amherst County with a minimum high school grade point average of 2.5.
Dr. Robert L. and Joy W. Bashore Scholarship -
Applicants must be full-time, degree-seeking students who have completed a minimum of 30 semester hours and earned a minimum grade point average of 2.75.
Dr. William Reynolds Scholarship -
Applicants must be business degree-seeking students with a high school grade point average of 2.5.
Easley Foundation Scholarship -
No restrictions except for general guidelines for scholarships.
Gloria L. Smith Scholarship for Women -
Applicants must be women in need of assistance.
J.B. Drinkard Scholarship -
Applicants must be residents of Appomattox County.
John E. Freese Scholarship -
Applicants must be full-time, sophomore students enrolled in the Administration of Justice courses and have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
Johnnie and Bettye Merritt Family Scholarship -
Applicants must have a minimum high school grade point average of 2.5. Recipients must maintain a 2.5 grade point average while receiving this award.
Kathryn "Kami" Montgomery Scholarship -
No restrictions except for general guidelines for scholarships.
Lane Foundation Scholarship -
Applicants must be an Altavista High School senior that will attend CVCC after high school. Applicants will need recommendations from teachers and counselors at Altavista High School.
Martin Webb Scholarship -
No restrictions except for general guidelines for scholarships.
Powell Scholarship -
Applicants must be residents of Altavista with a minimum high school grade point average of 2.5.
R.R. Donnelley Scholarship -
Applicants must be entering freshmen students enrolled full-time in one of the following curriculums: Engineering Technology or Machine Tool. Applicants must be high school graduates from Central Virginia and have a minimum high school grade point average of 2.5. A CO-OP may be offered during the recipient's sophomore year.
Regina Ryan Scholarship -
Applicants must be female students showing financial need. Recipients must maintain a 2.5 grade point average while receiving the award.
International Paper Scholarship -
Applicants must be full-time students enrolled in an industrial related curriculum and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0.
